FISCAL NOTE

The bill requires the transfer of the Chief Financial Officer position in the Department of Health to the Governor’s Office. Based on the 2011-12 biennium budgeted salary and benefits for this position of $14,207 per month and 15 months left in the biennium after the bill takes effect, this would require $213,105 to be transferred to the Governor’s Office. However, 12% of the salary and benefits of the position are funded by federal Medicaid funds because of its involvement with Medicaid fiscal management. This leaves 88% of the salary and benefits funded by General Fund. This would allow $187,532 in General Fund to be transferred to the Governor’s Office. One full-time position is also required to be transferred.
