Description of appropriation:

The amount of the appropriation is based upon school year 2009-10 data for English language learner students and enrollment.  Using school year 2009-10 data, an estimated 29 schools from 16 school districts would qualify, costing an estimated $1,100,000 for an estimated 14 additional English language learner teachers.

Assumptions:

School year 2009-10 enrollment and English language learner counts as used in the education resource block grant model.
