This bill contains an appropriation of $250,000 to the Department of Education from unexpended, unobligated monies existing as of June 30, 2011, which were appropriated from the School Foundation Program Account to Education Reform under 2010 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 39, section 205.

Description of appropriation:

 

This bill appropriates $250,000 to the Department of Education from unexpended, unobligated monies existing as of June 30, 2011, which were appropriated from the School Foundation Program Account to Education Reform under 2010 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 39, Section 205.

 

This bill will provide $500 for every high school student enrolled in a distance education course at the University of Wyoming or a community college. The funding in this bill is sufficient for payments for 500 students.

 

It is assumed that unexpended funds from the previous appropriation referenced above will be available to fund the expenditure from this bill.
