FISCAL NOTE

The fiscal impact is indeterminable.  This bill increases the amount of permanent funds the state treasurer may invest and keep invested through the purchase of industrial development bonds. This bill also increases the total amount of state funds the state treasurer may invest for specific public purposes authorized or directed by the legislature. Depending on the requests received for purchase of industrial development bonds and/or additional specific public purposes authorized or directed by the legislature the state treasurer may need to maintain a higher percentage of state funds in short term securities in order to ensure sufficient liquidity, which could yield less income.
