Source of Revenue Increase:
Licensing and renewal fees for the proposed Board of Denturists ($7,317 a year), and examination and reexamination fees for the Board of Dental Examiners which will administer the denturists licensing examination.
Assumptions:
The Department of Administration and Information, Professional Licensing Boards assumes that both boards will generate sufficient revenue to fund their budget and that there would be no other funding source. Professional Licensing Boards also estimates there will be no more than four license holders.
The Board of Dental Examiners will contract with a psychometrician to develop a defensible examination, resulting in higher examination fees during the first year of implementation. The cost of developing the examination will be funded by examination fees. With no more than four license holders, this could result in examination fees of $25,000 a license holder in FY 2012.
