This bill contains an appropriation of $100,000 from the GENERAL FUND to the Governor's Office.  This appropriation is effective immediately.

Description of Appropriation:

Funds will be expended to contract out a study to develop estimates of the cost of redesigning the Medicaid programs currently operating and those mandated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, P.L. 111-148, and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, P.L. 111-152. However, due to the complexity and breadth of this bill, additional funding may be needed to complete the study’s requirements.

This bill has administrative impact that appears to increase duties or responsibilities of one or more state agencies and may impact agency spending or staffing requirements. As introduced, the bill does not modify any state agency personnel authorizations.
