Description of Appropriation:
The proposed legislation appropriates $1,000,000 from the General Fund to the Livestock Board for implementing the protection of pet animal program, funding the Wyoming pet animal advisory board and providing funding to the district boards.
The bill also appropriates $235,000 from the General Fund to the Livestock Board for the purpose of funding four positions authorized by this bill.
Assumptions:
0100 series - $235,000 towards salary and benefits of four new positions and $39,750 towards Board salary costs for a year.
0200 series - costs of four vehicles, office desks and computers as well as ongoing business management practices of four new positions and 11 member advisory board.
0400 series - costs of A&I ITD and Telecommunications for four new positions.
0500 series - costs of leasing office space for four new people.
0900 series - printing costs and funds to be distributed to 23 counties.
Other Fiscal Impacts:
In addition to state funding, the Livestock Board anticipates receiving $5,000 annually in donations and grants from organizations such as the Humane Society of the United States.

The fiscal impact to the judicial system is indeterminable due to an unknown number of cases.
