Summary/Major Elements:

· In 2005, the Legislature enacted a methamphetamine initiative.  The 2005 methamphetamine initiative provided that substance abuse treatment grants under the initiative would be determined by the Governor's Substance Abuse and Violent Crime Advisory Board. 

· This act provides that the Department of Health, rather than the board, will review and award the grants originally authorized by the 2005 methamphetamine initiative.
