Summary/Major Elements:

● Authorizes the supreme court to develop and implement an electronic transaction system for submittal of payment to the circuit courts of all fees, penalties and fines and bonds for misdemeanor offenses for which bond may be posted and forfeited.

● Allows the supreme court to receive payment by credit card, direct withdrawal, or any other negotiable instrument.

Comments:

Any credit card fees assessed for processing a credit card payment shall be borne by the person tendering payment.
