Catch Title:       Emergency medical review organizations.

Summary/Major Elements:

● Under existing law certain medical professions may establish professional review organizations which are exempt from liability when acting as a professional review organization under the pertinent statutes.

● This legislation adds the emergency medical field and emergency medical technicians to the medical professions which are authorized to form professional review organizations under existing law.

● The legislation also provides that the state elects that the division of the department of health responsible for licensing emergency medical services be covered by immunity as authorized by federal law.
