o        Directs the Department of Health to fund, through competitive grants and contracts, a statewide network of ADRC's;

o        Requires that local communities provide support for an ADRC by contributing a physical facility or local funding;

o        Provides that the purpose of each center is to create a single, coordinated system of information and assistance for persons seeking long term support, and to serve as a referral agency to public and private long term care service providers.

Comments:

- Annual report required on Oct. 1 from Department of Health to Joint Labor Committee and JAC concerning implementation of the ADRC network.
