Catch Title:       Military department-federally funded positions.

Subject:  Filling employment positions with federally funded personnel.

Summary/Major Elements:

● This act allows the adjutant general to hire a person to occupy a new or existing position of state employment within the Military Department when federal funds are received which reimburse the state for 100% of the cost of the position.

● Before a position can be filled, authority must be granted by the Legislature in the Military Department's biennial budget.

● The Department must report all positions created through the general appropriations process and must terminate any position filled if federal funding becomes unavailable.
