Subject:  Proposal to amend Wyoming Constitution to include right of health care access.

Summary/Major Elements:

• This resolution proposes to amend the Wyoming Constitution to provide that:

o Each competent adult has the right to make his or her own health care decisions;

o Any person may pay directly for health care without penalties or fines;

o The legislature may prescribe reasonable and necessary restrictions on the right to health care access;

o The state shall act to preserve the right to health care access from undue governmental infringement.

Comments:

This resolution, if approved by the voters, would create a new Article 1, Section 38 in the Wyoming Constitution.
