FISCAL NOTE

NON-ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT

The fiscal impact is indeterminable.

The language in the proposed legislation could potentially decrease the number of traffic tickets issued.  Fines from traffic violations are deposited in the county school fund in the county where the violations take place.  Due to the variable nature in the number of traffic violations, the possible reduction in revenue to county school funds is indeterminable.

With a reduction in traffic violation fine revenue, there may be corresponding increased expenditures from the School Foundation Program Account.  The potential increase in expenditures from the School Foundation Fund is also indeterminable.

The fiscal impact to the judicial system is indeterminable due to an unknown number of cases.
