Source of revenue decrease:

The number of licenses issued will be reduced each year thereby decreasing generated revenue.

Assumptions:

These figures are approximate for FY 2013, 14 and 15, as this license class is issued every three years so the total anticipated revenue was arrived at and divided equally for each year. Generated revenue is divided between the State’s general fund and the Department of Fire Prevention & Electrical Safety special fund 40/60 split respectively.

Not captured above is the potential decrease of approximately $50,000 total on July 1, 2012.  This is assuming that a technician pay for his license July 1, 2011, and the Department of Fire Prevention & Electrical Safety has to refund 2/3 of that license fee. This would also apply to a technician that paid for his license July 1, 2010, making the Department of Fire Prevention & Electrical Safety refund 1/3 of that license fee.
