Description of Appropriation:

The General Funds appropriated to the account created by W.S. 39-14-802 would be expended to fund one or more engineering and design studies to determine the feasibility of constructing and operating a commercial scale facility which converts minerals to liquid fuels.  The funds would be expended in the form of a matching grant to the successful applicant(s).

 

 

Assumptions:

Allowing some time for a competitive request for proposals and selection process, UW anticipates that $1 million will be expended in the first year and has averaged the remaining $9 million equally over the balance of the allowable expenditure, or $3 million per year for three years.
