FISCAL NOTE

Source of expenditure increase:

Increase in Governor's salary to an amount equal to the salary of Wyoming Supreme Court justices;

Increase in salary of Secretary of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer and Superintendent of Public Instruction to an amount equal to the salary of Circuit Court judges;

Assumptions:

This bill would increase the annual salary of the Governor from the current salary of $105,000 to $131,500, for the Governor inaugurated in January 2019.

This bill would increase the annual salary of the Secretary of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer and Superintendent of Public Instruction from the current salary of $92,000 to $$102,800, effective for these 4 elected officials inaugurated in January 2019.

The estimated cost of these salary increases is $84,000 per fiscal year or $168,000 per fiscal biennium.
