Page 1-line 3           After "specified;" insert "providing that administration of medications is not a condition of employment; providing rulemaking authority;".

Page 2-line 5           After "injection" insert ". Pharmacists shall not engage in infusion therapy as defined in rules of the board, developed in consultation with the state board of medicine".

Page 2-After line 10    Insert:

"(iv)  Administration of medications under this subsection shall be conducted in a private space, dedicated to the administration of medications to ensure patient safety and confidentiality in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, 42 U.S.C. 1320d et seq;

(v)  Administering medications shall not be required as a condition of employment or continuation of employment as a pharmacist;".

Page 2-line 12          Delete "(iv)" insert "(vi)".

Page 2-line 14          After "administer" insert ", requirements for spaces in which medications shall be administered by a pharmacist".  HARVEY, CHAIRMAN
