"Section 1. W.S. 6‑2‑502(b) and by creating a new subsection (c) is amended to read:
6‑2‑502. Aggravated assault and battery; penalty.
(b) Except as provided in subsection (c) of this section, aggravated assault and battery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years.
(c) Aggravated assault and battery against a health care provider, as defined in W.S. 1‑1‑130(b)(i), who is engaged in providing health care services is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than twelve (12) years, a fine not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both.".
