Source of revenue increase:

This bill provides an increase in Game and Fish Department license, stamp, permit and tag fees charged to all nonresidents and residents, excluding youth, pioneer, and heritage license, which are not included in the fee adjustment. The Lifetime License Fund and the Wildlife Trust Account are permanent, inviolate funds, with the revenue shown above adding to the corpus and accordingly is not expendable for current operations.

Assumptions:

Estimates are based on volumes of the last complete hunt year, 2011. Figures assume a decrease in license volume for antelope and deer licenses of 15% in the year of a fee adjustment. Fee adjustment legislation is effective at the beginning of the calendar year to minimize the effect to sportsmen and license agents of fee adjustments; accordingly, the 2014 figures are for a partial year of the fee increase, calculations based on historic data of what types of license are purchased between January and May (agents report and transmit fees for sales in the month following the sale). The fiscal year 2016 amounts include an estimated 3.5% inflationary increase.
