FISCAL NOTE

It is assumed retirement contributions for any members/employees moved to the Law Enforcement Plan from the Public Employee Pension Plan generally increases to 17.20 percent of salary from 14.12 percent of salary for those who elect to move to this plan. It is also assumed service prior to July 1, 2013 will not be credited to the affected employees as a result of this legislation.  Given these assumptions, this legislation would not adversely impact the actuarial status of the Law Enforcement Pension Plan.
