FISCAL NOTE

The proposed legislation would provide an indeterminable cost savings to the judicial system through reduced transcript fees.  These fees are paid to the court reporter by the court, and are currently $3.25 a page ($1.25/page for a copy).  However, the amount of cost savings is indeterminable, because it is unknown how many proceedings will still be requested to be transcribed.
