SPECIAL REVENUE FUND

28,860

Source of Revenue Increase:

Revenue generated from license fees charged to acupuncture practitioners required to comply with the proposed bill.

Assumptions:

The Wyoming Department of Administration and Information – Professional Licensing Boards (A&I-PLB) estimates there may be 30 or more individuals which may be required to obtain licensure according to the proposed bill and that do not otherwise hold a license in another related profession (i.e. – medical physician, physician assistant, chiropractor, etc.).  If the proposed licensing board obtains administrative and support services through the A&I-PLB, in order to be self-sufficient to cover these administrative costs, licensing fees would be set at $962 per professional, per year (30 individuals x $962 = $28,860 annual revenue).  An increase in the number of individuals that must comply with the act would allow for reduced licensure fees to be charged by the board to cover administrative costs.  Revenues in the first year of will be lower as the board begins operations.  This also takes into account that there would be no disciplinary actions taken during the first three fiscal years of board operations.
