Anticipated Expenditure (Decrease):

GENERAL FUND

(2,905,893)

(2,905,893)

(2,905,893)

Source of expenditure decrease:

This bill repeals the Wyoming Vaccinates Important People (WyVIP) program established in W.S. 35-4-139. This bill would eliminate the purchase of vaccines for children eligible to receive vaccines through the WyVIP program.

Assumptions:

W.S. 35-4-139 provides vaccines for children who are not eligible for the federal Vaccines for Children program.  According to the Annual Population Estimates Report for 2013, over 75,000 children are eligible for the WyVIP program, which provides vaccines with state general funds.

An estimate of 10% of Wyoming insured patients are considered underinsured for vaccine coverage.

This bill does not de-appropriate the General Funds appropriated for this program.
