Catch Title:              Constituent service allowance.

Subject:                     Legislative payment for constituent service.

Summary/Major Elements:

· The constituent service allowance for legislative reimbursement for constituent services was enacted in statute in 2002 and provided for up to $750 reimbursement per quarter.

· In the 2009 session, the constituent service allowance was modified to allow legislators to claim amounts unused in previous quarters for a current quarter.

· In that same session, the constituent service allowance was also modified to provide for a payment of $750 per quarter without claims for reimbursement of specified expenses.  This change was not effective until January, 2013.

· This act removes the old date references and repeals provisions inconsistent with the changes that became effective in January, 2013.
