Catch Title:              Banking act amendments.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act generally conforms Wyoming Statutes to federal law after passage of federal legislation popularly known as the “Dodd-Frank Act” (Public Law 111-203) and makes clean-up and conforming amendments.

· Allows Wyoming chartered banks to operate branches in other states and allows banks chartered in other states to operate branches in Wyoming.

· Removes archaic language allowing for interstate banking only by merger.

Comments:

· NOTE:  Pursuant to federal law, branch banks operating in Wyoming, but chartered in another state, are regulated by their home state banking commission.
