Catch Title:              Livestock fence repairs.

Subject:                     Repair of livestock fences

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act authorizes landowners, livestock custodians, peace officers, brand inspectors and other persons acting under the statutes concerning escaped livestock to repair any fencing through which an animal has escaped.

· The act specifies that the repair of fencing is not mandatory.

· The act extends the immunity provided to agents of the Wyoming livestock board to include liability for damages alleged to have been caused by an agent's efforts to repair a fence.

· This act establishes an exception to the existing law which declared that only the department of transportation could repair or reconstruct fences paralleling state highways.
