Summary/Major Elements:

· Under the uniform trust code, a creditor may file a notice of claim within 120 days after a notice of intent of the trustee to distribute property is published.  The uniform trust code requires the notice of intent to distribute the property to be published once per week for two consecutive weeks.

· This act specifies that the creditor must file a notice of claim within 120 days after the first publication of the notice of intent to distribute the property.
