Catch Title:              Hathaway success curriculum.

Subject:                     Modifies the success curriculum requirements for the Hathaway scholarship program.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act modifies the success curriculum eligibility requirements for the Hathaway scholarship program.

· Commencing school year 2015-2016, students seeking eligibility for the honor and performance scholarships must complete two years of instruction in fine and performing arts or two years of instruction in career-vocational education or two additional years of foreign language.  These requirements are in addition to prior success curriculum requirements, including the requirement for two years of sequenced foreign language.

· Commencing school year 2015-2016, students seeking eligibility for the opportunity scholarship or the provisional opportunity scholarship, may complete two years of instruction in fine and performing arts or two sequenced years of instruction in foreign language, in lieu of the requirements related to demonstration of proficiency on the state standards for foreign cultures and languages as required under W.S. 21-9-101(b)(i)(K).
