Summary/Major Elements:

· Through the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust, the state of Wyoming helps fund conservation easements.

· This legislation prohibits certain provisions in conservation easements which are funded or partially funded through the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust.

· These prohibited provisions include no hunting, fishing or trapping provisions, provisions which mandate specific livestock and crop management practices and provisions which prohibit ranching or farming.

· The legislation also requires that the state receive certain contractual protections and remedies, when state funds are used to purchase a conservation easement, upon a breach or transfer of the easement.
