Subject:                     Freezing premiums for the Wyoming health insurance pool

Summary/Major Elements:

· The Wyoming health insurance pool is an insurance program of last resort for people who cannot obtain health insurance otherwise for various reasons.  The statutes set premium rates based on a percentage of standard risks.

· This act freezes those premium rates for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015, at the rates in effect on January 1, 2013.  However, the board may adjust those rates to reflect increases in the cost of claims and expenses.
