Summary/Major Elements:

· Under current law, a proposition to increase or decrease the number of county commissioners may be brought on the same day as a primary election or a general election, or on the Tuesday next following the first Monday in May or November, or on the Tuesday next following the third Monday in August.

· This act limits the bringing of a proposition to increase or decrease the number of county commissioners to the same day as a general election.

· This act provides a form for a petition to increase or decrease the number of county commissioners.
