Summary/Major Elements:

· This act requires the oil and gas conservation commission to adopt rules requiring a surety bond or other guaranty to be posted to protect the interests of land owners when oil and gas operations involve seismic activities.

· The act sets minimum surety amounts based upon acreage affected and allows for pooling of small parcels for purposes of meeting minimum bond requirements.

· The act requires permits for seismic activities to state that the permit is not permission to trespass.

· The act requires the operator to provide the oil and gas conservation commission evidence that an operator has a right to enter the land.
