FISCAL NOTE

No significant fiscal or personnel impact.

Note:  The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) provides the following:  the requirement to develop a diabetes plan described in subpart (a) of the bill will be substantially satisfied by the diabetes prevention and control components of the draft Wyoming Chronic Disease Prevention Plan.  This plan's final preparation and publication is anticipated to occur by September 30, 2014.  It will be supplemented by the planning and reporting requirements of the CDC-funded cooperative agreement governing diabetes prevention and control and other chronic disease risk factors.

The specific items set forth in the biennial report described in subpart (b) of the bill are data and information that can be readily ascertained and compiled from existing data sources, federal grant reports and action plans, departmental studies and reports, and other available, no-cost sources.  If data is unavailable or not collected in current data systems, the WDH will try to identify/provide a proxy or substitute measure rather than build a new data system or data warehouse to capture the measure.
