Summary/Major Elements:

· Under current law resident snowmobiles are subject to a registration fee and a user fee.  Nonresident snowmobiles are subject only a user fee.

· This bill eliminates the resident user fee and increases both the user fee paid upon nonresident snowmobiles and registration fee paid upon resident snowmobiles.

· The bill increases the price for duplicate certificates if a certificate is lost, mutilated or destroyed.

· The bill exempts snowmobiles used exclusively on private land from payment of fees.
