Subject:                     Modifying the University of Wyoming’s board of trustees and the state board of education to include the WCCC director as an ex-officio.

Summary/Major Elements:

· This act requires the executive director of the Wyoming Community College Commission to sit on the board of trustees for the University of Wyoming and the state board of education as an ex-officio member of the board.

· This act increases University of Wyoming board of trustee membership from 13 members to 14 members and increases the state board membership from 12 to 13 members.

Comments:

· Amends major program: University of Wyoming Board of Trustees

· Delayed effective date:  Sections 1 and 3 are effective July 1, 2014; Sections 2 and 4 are effective upon resolution of Hill/Powers v. Mead [Docket No. S-13-0052].
