SUBJECT: Chapter 10, Contents Before the Contest Board of the Wyoming School for the Deaf (repeal); Chapter 11, Information Practices for Wyoming School for the Deaf/Visually Handicapped (repeal); Chapter 12, Programs for the Educationally Disadvantaged (repeal); Chapter 15, Alternative Education Services (repeal); and Chapter 28, Wyoming School for the Deaf Regulations (repeal).

STATUTORY AUTHORITY: W.S. 21-2-202(a)(i)
DETERMINATION OF PROCEDURAL COMPLIANCE BASED UPON INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE AGENCY TO LSO: Apparently complete to date.
SUMMARY OF RULES: These rules are being repealed by the department of education. Chapters 10, 11 and 28 of the rules are repealed because the department no longer operates a school for the deaf and the provisions are otherwise not applicable. Chapter 12 is repealed because it was adopted prior to No Child Left Behind and is no longer relevant or relevant portions are reflected in other sections of the rules. Chapter 15 is repealed because it is no longer relevant.
FINDINGS: The rules appear to be within the scope of authority and legislative intent.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: That the rules be placed on the Consent List and be approved by the Council as submitted by the agency.
