Rules:                                 Chapter 9, The Critical access and rural Hospital Technology Grant Program

 

Summary of Rules:   The 2011 budget bill appropriated $1 Million to the Department of Health to administer a grant program to fund technologies at critical access or rural hospitals, as defined in W.S. 35-1-1002(a)(ii).  The grants are to assist the hospitals in preparing for implemention of electronic health records pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  These rules implement the program by defining terms, providing application and selection procedures, identifying department and grantee responsibilities, establishing selection criteria and providing for repayment and penalties in the event of breach of award terms by a grantee.
