SELECT COMMITTEE ON SCHOOL FACILITIES

Standard Budget:     $20,000.00

Priority #: 1     Deployment schedule of funded projects; supplemental budget.

Through periodic reporting by the School Facilities Department required under Section 1(d) of 2014 HB0042, monitor and review the deployment of funds appropriated under 2014 HB0042 and prior appropriations for scheduled facility projects.  Through this process and based upon additional reporting by the School Facilities Commission, review and forward any recommended modification to the biennial school facility budget established by 2014 HB0042 to both the Governor and JAC pursuant to W.S. 21-15-119(a) and 28-11-301(b)(v).

Priority #: 2     School facility component level needs.

Based upon a report by the School Facilities Department required by Section 1(e)(viii)(C) of 2014 HB0042, consider any recommended refined process for identifying, reviewing and prioritizing school district building component level needs, giving full consideration to the proper use of school district major maintenance funds to address building adequacy in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Priority #: 3     Facility Adequacy Standards.

Receive reports and recommendations from the School Facilities Commission on school facility adequacy standards following required periodic review and evaluation pursuant to W.S. 21-15-115(c).  This review by the Commission shall include consideration of distance limitations in establishing facility remedies, together with any modification to the facility condition needs index and the recommended standards and guidelines for school security projects.
