Discussed cuts: Total $3M plus. Page 6 Larsen – AML funds question/discussion. Page 10 and 11 – 100 series; page 12 IT reduction, pay out of 400 series Burkhart; will funds moving show in budget? Parfitt: Page 13, supplemental request outline. Larsen: Public projects vs mining communities Parfitt: impacted by mining related activities, moved to page 15 Burkhart: unique programs – intangibles; if licensing why not in 207? Hibert: will clarify in future budget books Parfitt: paperless initiative, improve IT services to allow electronic permitting, etc. Sommers: Become more time efficient? Parfitt: have seen some improvements. Page 23, Air quality, deleting positions. Are there people in these positions? No, they are vacant. Page 30 shifted to water quality, positions reduced/reasons, etc. Larsen: Nutrient mgmt. group? Nitrogen loading standards. Landen: Conservation district relationship changes? Platte River water treatment plant question. Parfitt: Should be little to no effect, may get better discussions with districts. Checking on water quality in area. Reduction shouldn’t affect continuing testing. Wellwood dam discussion. Page 33 largest portion of funds reduction; Page 35, Land quality reductions 3 FTE’s – vacant positions. Driskill: breakdown of coal vs non coal employees follow up requested. Workload changes 54% non coal 46% coal. Parfitt: Workload increased, mines coming out of bankrupt situation, self bonding, Page 39, 42, 48, Solid Waste Transfer program, remediation. Schwartz: Over time less monitoring? Parfitt: funds received $.28 tax, 50% returned, about 2018. DOT funds, legislature determined priorities. Burkhart: 900 series, storage tank remediation project almost complete? Parfitt: Down to about 140 tanks, not GF but corrective action account. Schwartz: Page 22, reference to fees for per ton emissions. Parfitt: Title 5 fees, $34.50 per ton, not looking to change it. Burns: page 59 narrative. Edwards: Newly found hazard in Sheridan is product eroding from old mines due to heavy rains.
