Financial Aid

A limited amount of funding is available to students participating in the program.  The Wyoming Legislature recognizes the expenses students incur to serve as interns and offers a grant program designed to help interns defray some of their travel and living expenses.  Interns can also apply for a competitive scholarship to offset internship expenses.  Please see your academic institution’s participating instructor for a description of the aid available and a financial aid application form.

Legislative Internship Grant Program

The Management Council of the Wyoming Legislature offers a Legislative Student Intern Grant Program designed to help students defray some of the expenses incurred in participating in the Student Intern Program.  Funding for this program is limited.  Grant recipients are required to obtain the remaining portion of their expenses from other sources or the student’s own resources.

Wyoming Legislative Internship Scholarship

The Wyoming Legislative Internship Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who plan to serve in the Intern Program for the Wyoming Legislature.  All full-time students selected to participate in the Intern Program are eligible to apply for the Joan Snow Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship award will be based upon the student’s academic performance, a recommendation from a faculty member at the student’s educational institution and a statement indicating why the applicant is interested in serving as a legislative intern and how the scholarship will assist the student in achieving the student’s goals.
