Work Assignments
Once academic institutions select interns, the Wyoming Legislative Service Office (LSO) matches the students to committees and participating legislators. Interns are often assigned to more than one committee or legislator. Interns are non-partisan and are not allowed to lobby or advocate for issues while participating in the program; interns work on behalf of the legislators or committees to whom they are assigned. The purpose of the internship is to observe the legislative process and to assist legislators and committees with their workload, not to influence public policy.
